I know Pirates will gladly fight with those things that come out the water whatever they are call.
Drowners and Hags xD
yeah all of that business
Press "b" nope you're dead
Press "a" nope you're dead
Press "left trigger" nope you're dead.
Surprisingly, they die from one hit from a crossbow
Does it also 1-hit kill them out of the water?
Will have to remember to try that to find out.
IIRC, it doesn't... Weird
The puny crossbow turns into a Magical Kryptonite Tipped Super Harpoon under water. 1 shot will kill anything. And monsters getting into water turns ADHD and only attack you once in awhile even if they're right next to you. They're too busy staring at all the water around them.
They do keep you busy
I ran away from a basilisk and fell in a puddle from which I couldn't escape
Beware the swamps as the puddles are magical traps even with furious button mashing.
Do you mean as in bog holes that you fall into and you have to jump out, or as in stuck?
You have to reload.
Thankfully after reloading you can usually move/jump out of them. And to think the downfall of the mighty Geralt was some hole in the middle of nowhere.
So many smutty remarks come to mind...
Where is the cheapest place to buy the expansion DLC? I have the game via gog.
I did a quest in that 2nd city, finding someone's wife. Jesus. I took the gold and agreed not to search further but then I decided i'd investigate anway and HORRY SHEET ended up fighitn a werewolf. Smashed him but man that was so cool. Had such a blast.
I'm still level 4 but I saw a level 12 bear and decided to take him down. That was a longish battle but felt rewarding to beat him even though they're easy enough to dodge, i just keep using my shield sign which i love.
There's a few quests like that - something benign on the surface, but investigating is just really really interesting (sometimes horrifying - the things that have happened in this world due to beasts, spirits or people).
This is one of those games where even the side missions are quests to themselves, and have an interesting story - not "collect 5 of these for me", "kill x many of these".
Finally got around to heading to Novigrad, cannot believe how amazing the city is.
