thermal paste on i5 6500 and i7 6700k

    I am wondering what size thermal paste container I would need to redo a i5 6500 and i7 6700k

    You should be able to do both of them with a 1g tube using the grain of rice method. I get 2 mounts out of the small 1g tubes they ship with EK waterblocks but doesn't leave you any if you mess up or want to check the mounts etc. If you're doing the mounts yourself and you have shaky hands might be best to grab the next size up, 2g or 4g.

    Theres moot point spending crazy money on thermal paste on the 6500 and 6700k because you won't see a difference till you delid, clean that shit gunk Intel uses, repaste with thin layer for smooth full coverage, then relid.
