im still unsure... it has potential for mods thats for sure!
everything is covered up! cant see nothing
youre not seeing the modding potential!
can anyone say... 3 storey apartment with WINDOW MODS
a window for the PSU box (if you have a nice PSU (ie corsair hx1000)
window for mainboard.. window for gpu's...
if you have an ssd... that could have a little window...
this is a case where you would want long cables... so you can make extensive use of all the compartments yet keep everything hidden through the main vertical core
Interested case but I would have thought limited modding as it has modular design with set dimensions. It will be 800+ bucks... would be better to get a cheaper case to mod.
That would look freaking awesome! I see plenty of modding potential in that, but I don't know how well it would go with internal h2o systems.
Still, great to see Thermaltake thinking outside the box... (hah! case pun!)
If I end up moving to the US as planned later this year, that's the Case that I plan on getting. There's 5 mods that I can think of already that should be ok for a case like that and would jazz things up even further.
The other side of that case looks as if it'd be pretty easy to engrave on too.... given the right tools and experience.....
2 80mm fans for each HDD?
can they possably be serious?
1 120mm intake and 1 120mm exaust for the entire motherboard, CPU and GPU cooling??
sure it's got modding potental,
but thats only beacuse it sucks so mutch in it's stock config.
how much is this monstrosity?
One site already sells it.
So your suggesting a $1200 case had modding potential, maybe it does but who would?
Very few people would dare to try that.
I personally wouldnt buy one though, not really my style.
I'm sure some ppl. will think it looks awesome.
I'm not one of them.
Maybe for $200 as a bit of a novelty, but for the price they want for it...
I guess it will find it's niche amongst ppl. who need to hot-swap lots of HDD's but don't know how to open a case, and LAN partygoers, with that very functional looking carry handle...
On a lighter note, did he drop that HDD?
A light, to show a bay is occupied ... ffs, an activity light but a "there is a hdd installed in this box here"
Next they'll say "there is a sonic indicator to remind you it has fans" because you can hear them...
I wonder if it has a badge to remind you its a thermaltake and not worth $900+?
I think it's very obvious that this is not designed to be a highly functional case, it's price tag and obscure style place it in a totally different market segment than other, much more functional cases.
It's a 'special edition' case that people WILL buy for $900+. Why? Just so they can say "look, I own a $900 case purely for e-peen". Nobody is throwing their money at the Level 10 because it's a good case, it could be a $900 Aluminium sculpture of a dog turd and people would still buy it just to prove that they have enough cash to waste on what could be considered as a "collector's item".
Same deal with the Lian Li PC-888
i can imagina alot of potential like windows and stuff and you could run a LCS through it and have the cables going on the outside of the capsules, lol
but at that price.......i cant imagine it popping up on these forums with somebody modding it any time soon
+1 for what ever he said, it looks like one of those boring IBM cases you see office computers in
Yeah but atleast thats a Lian-Li, and its cheaper.
Although its also very ugly.
$915 @ pccasegear
I see that this case does have some modding potential especially with it's tall size and cable management. But it is way too overpriced well atleast at the moment. And i think only big fans of Thermaltake will consider buying it. By the way, who want's to tell me the Thermaltake = Epic Fail Theory.
