I'd recommend all the Rocksteady Arkham games (although I have issues with Knight, the car-puzzles can go jump in the river) but Origins was trash. A completely souless "we have the formula so anyone can make these games now" effort that...didn't work.

i don’t think I’ve actually played the DLC. I finished it twice before the DLC even came out:Pirate:
Had to go back and do a non lethal playthrough after murdering everyone the first time.

I quite enjoyed Origins and consider it under rated, the only knock i had on it was the shock gloves made you a bit OP. Also it had freakin' Deathstroke and I love DS.

Batmobile in Knight, I mean yeah I liked it. I'm a huge fan OF the batmobile as a thing although the drone battles were a bit overdone. I mean not a huge amount, just a bit.

End of the day they are both above average games and they have Batman - that's pretty much all I need.

In perspective I would rate the games as below. All of them I thoroughly enjoyed the story which is super important to me.

    Asylum 8/10
    City 9/10
    Origins 8/10
    Knight 9.5/10

Totally matches my ratings for the games too.

Asylum and Origins are VERY different, but yeah, I'd also put them on the same level for overall fun factor.

But I also think the entire series is essential. I'd go as far as to say these games are some of the best Batman stories ever told. Far better than any of the films ever made, in fact, and on par with the best comics Bats has ever had behind him. (Sorry, but sorry, Frank Miller fans).

I really hope the new Suicide Squad games keep up. But damn, they've got some big shoes to fill.

Still has a little while to go before it turns 20 (released Nov 19, 2001), but damn Return to Castle Wolfenstein was 20 years ago.
