    Take this as a warning.

Everyone is far too dependant on google, and when something goes wrong, it cripples us.

Having said that, we shared a moment in history, google fucked up, and every one of you saw it!
It goes to show, noone is untouchable :p

    cheers lads

my friends daughter had a friend in a tiz, apparently he couldn't get on face book! (because he didn't know the web address )

we gave him crap for about 15 mins just to make him feel good :D

mind you, had to show my friend the trick of copying the address from the base of the attempted search to get to the pages she wanted :weirdo:

Seems fine for me this morning but I imagine 5,000 google engineers were on the job within seconds.

lol, Google was blaming the site StopBadware.org for sending them corrupted data, causing the owner of StopBadware to come out and blast them.. I guess they didn't want to accept the mistake.. They later published it was their mistake on the blog after being blasted by stopbadware..

I was actually affected by this.. I thought I was infected by some browser spyware...... was getting worried for a moment

I wonder how their advertising sponsored faired during this 'ordeal'. The CPC rates might have skyrocketed as people stopped clicking on links and move to the sidebar ads.

Sure did.... bot only after it happened to confirm it.

Oh and I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but it was worldwide aswell. I was talking to people in AUS/USA/UK/GER/NOR when it happened, and it affected us all.

This happened in the middle of me searching for stuff last night.

I had to resort to *shudder* MSN Live search.
