Depends what temp I look at.

    Cpu in hwmonitor hit 93-95
    Ryzen Master around 60
VRM - 50, but I think was hotter. Too hot to touch.

HW Monitor is probably showing the offset which I think is 27C for threadripper.

In HWInfo there is a section that shows Tctl and Tdie - on Ryzen the offset was 20c on first gen and 10c on second gen.

At this stage, I’m only efficiency testing for a current HWBot comp.

I’m not super concerned with the CPU temp. Basically just picked a voltage and went with whatever speed the CPU would do.

VRM heat concerns me, but when I LN2 it shouldn’t be an issue. Highly suggest anyone looking at these to get a full cover block, and a decent custom loop with a lot of radiator volume.

Pitty I haven’t done and 3D rendering for a while, this would eat it for breakfast.

Started playing with a 1950x on a Creation mb.
Memory might take a bit of time to get best out of it and using Stilts 3200 safe here.

that's what i settled on, i could get much higher @3600 stable in games etc. but wouldn't pass stress tests, rather have it rock solid :/

Thanks for the sharing the timings flinchy.
Looks like above 3200 becomes difficult on the creation mb. Had things running at 3200c12 and 3400c12 but 3200c14 just seems a lot better at the moment.

for some reason i can *run* 3600 C12, but @ 3200 the second i go from the timings above to even C13, it just boot loops until it goes to safe BIOS. glad ryzen timing calc is a thing, cos it's BS like that that'd turn me off even bothering lol

Got the mem at 3533c14 here and quite a big difference in Aida64 benchmark between memory interleave setting die and channel or Uma/Numa

Everything else pretty much flat out here and I think I'd need sub ambient to go further.

    New to the TR bandwagon...
I've organised my used CPU - still waiting on delivery on a few things... but this is how it looks.

    TR 1900X
    MSI X399 SLI PRO
    32GB GSkill Trident Z 3200MHz (4x8GB)
Vega 64 with EKWB full cover block
    EK MSI Monoblock
    Alphacool 420 rad
    DDC

This is going to be my entry to Threadripper, if I love it (which for my work loads I think I will), I'll move to a 1950 at some stage..
