Of course not. But you expect that the person with their name attached has had at least a tiny bit of input into the game.

Wait wait wait wait are you trying to tell me, right here, right now that colonel sanders wasn't the one who made my box of grease tacos?? Cause if that's true F the marketing department, bunch of dickheads! I want my money back I thought these tacos were hand created by colonel sanders....

At least Ronald still personally makes those made to order burgers and drives the home delivery cars. Also did you hear, he's making breakfast now too - works like a dog.

He started the KFC restaurant and the fried chicken. KFC is a brand and was never a person. They don't call it 'Colonel Sander's Zinger Burger' as that would indicate he came up with it originally. Also your 'hand created by colonel sanders' analogy is totally off point.

"Red Storm presents" would be fine because it's the company that makes/sells these Tom Clancy's games.

I also wouldn't mind so much if they did use "Tom Clancy" as a brand. But saying "Tom Clancy'S" suggest he himself made it. I don't mind if it's "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six" because he started that franchise. I don't mind when they say Ian Fleming's James Bond because it was his character. But saying Tom Clancy's The Division if he didn't have any input into its creation...

And to the person saying "let it go" i'm just having a conversation about it. You can choose not to participate.

Whilst I don't feel very strongly about it, my view does mirror Sharpe's.

using a name as a brand is one of the oldest marketing gimmicks known to man.

Fine lets try, you mean neither Abercrombie nor Fitch designed my jumper? Wait Versace didn't make my jeans? Old mate Henry didn't design those cars? And here I was thinking old mate Robert (bosch) still made my brakes. And are you trying to tell me that Both himself doesn't make Booth's Gin? The outrage of it all, I just thought the old fellow had a fair few bottles made before he passed.

    Happy now?

Do any of those labels have ''s' on the end of them? Did you read my comment?

Those are also all companies. The Tom Clancy company didn't make the games, Red Storm did.

If uplay doesn't work for you in the myriad of other games then the division is probably not going to fair better.

Does anyone really expect this game to be good? Looks pretty damn generic to me, and Tom Clancy games have been pretty damn poor and/or inconsistent a lot of the time.
