meh. dont see the big deal over a touchscreen on an ipod, can see alot of failures on the screens though.

put a radio and a tv tuner in it and i'll buy one :D

An ipod with touch screen would be amazingly underwhelming.

My prediction: ipods won't be fashionable by the end of 2006 and by the end of 2007 nobody will be seen dead with one.

so tell me what people will be using then, that is easy to use with software which doesnt require you to search your computer for music files and COPY them directly to the mahcine

Actually I'll partially retract my statement. If they look like those pictures a video ipod might be kinda cool.

I just think that ipods have already 'made their splash' and following models won't be regarded as cultural icons or fashion accessories.

Good for you man. Any comments I made about people buying ipods because they are 'in' were not directed at you. I'm not saying anything about their functionality.

I love most apple stuff (most of all my ibook) but I just think that with the pace of change in consumer electronics the ipod will struggle to remain king of the hill for too much longer. If it does however, more power to apple!

Too bad for Apple that they are fakes, because I would have bought one of them!

They've got the patents to do it, I think we'll see it one day, especially if MS's Origami is as cool and functional as what it looks to be!!! They'll need something to compete with that.
