    Hi all,

What would you guys recommend for a small cluster of 10 machines, a piece of software to remotely deploy images to the machine (without having to be at the machine phyiscally, preferrably) and can deploy any image selected from a list.

Eg, 10 machines in a small network. Send a Vista image to PC 1-5 and an XP image to PC 6-10 from a single console?

Ghost Suite looks good, but can anyone confirm whether it does what I want it to do?

    Cheers,

    Ghost all the way.

Deployment wise you might want to use the PXE to boot the clients and Ghostcast the image to all the machines, otherwise make a boot CD and boot each machine with that.

Yep - looks like this is the go. Just had a play around and you can install the ghost client on the target machine and set the NIC to wake on lan, and away you go.

Send the client the image remotely, reboots.

Just having another look at a few things - what do you guys do in regards to multiple XP licences?

The training room has 20 XP licences for 20 machines.. How would I go about ensuring that each client is deployed with a valid licence?

Apart from taking 20 images of 20 different clients, is there a quick way with Ghost/Sysprep?

    Cheers

Wouldn't you just use a volume license?

or maybe just regedit valid keys after ghosting or have a play with OPK to see if it will do what you want?
