Had a go at making a Big Mac today
Got the special sauce spot on but need to work on the presentation
Am making some more for lunch on Monday
Will post up another pic to see if i can get it looking better :D

Ok this ones really not rocket science.
But it does require a few important ingredients.

    Sesame Seed Bun
    Beef Mince
Cheese Slices - Kraft singles are perfect, anything other and you dont get the same taste.
    Iceburg Lettuce
    Dill Pickles
    Brown or white Onion

    For the Sauce:
4tlb Whole Egg Mayonaisse - yes it really must be whole egg
    2 - 3 tlb Sweet Mustard Pickle
    1tlb French Salad Dressing
    1 tsp white Vinegar
    1/4 finely chopped Onion
    1 tsp white sugar
    pinch of salt

Play with the ingredient amounts depending on what brands you buy but this will get you pretty close
if your able to let this sit overnight then the flavours will meld nicely giving it a better taste.

    The Bun:
has to be sesame seed cut into thirds with the middle piece as thin as you dare cut it.
Honestly i have tried 'Tip Top' and Coles 'Home Brand' and there really isn't much difference.
Put the sliced piece into a toaster for just a short amount of time to get a light toasting.

    The Meat:
I just used normal beef mince about 45-50gm per paddy & seasoned with salt and pepper on each side before cooking on a frypan with some olive oil on a medium heat
maybe 2 mins each side. These must be rolled out thinly and preferably an inch or 2 bigger than the bun you are using.
Whilst cooking the buns will reduce in size somewhat.

    The assembly:
    Bottom Bun
    Special Sauce
    Chopped Onion
    Shredded Lettuce
    Cheese
    Burger Paddy

    Middle Bun
    Special Sauce
    Chopped Onion
    3 sliced Dill Pickles
    Shredded Lettuce
    Burger Paddy

    Top Bun

Remember were just trying to recreate the same shitty burger that mcdonalds make.
But theres nothing like a bit of stodge every now and then :D and i must admit it does taste pretty good when you make it yourself.

If you want to make a 'real burger' check out my other thread here

If the name of the Restaurant (and i use that term very loosely) was Downies then the burger would have to be 'The Double Dribble Burger'

Easy to make i'll post something up.

Will add to the main post ... perhaps a nice admin can place this in the recipe section?

Looks tasty. Would much prefer it over anything maccas has to offer.

All you need now is a large pack of Kraft Burger Slices (i.e. orange cheese) from the wholesaler!

I seen where they make those maccas cheese slices (the orange ones).

They are the same as normal processed cheese slices except they add this orange powder to the mix which smells like bunghole and stains everything it touches permanently orange.

It has to be the same seasoning that's used on Cheetos.

The orange colour comes from the Annatto they add to it.
