    Hi all,

I'm building a new frontend for an Ubuntu 20.04LTS based MythTV installation. I want to run this: https://github.com/graysky2/xscreensaver-aerial, which uses xscreensaver. I have used Ubuntu Budgie as the frontend OS, and budgie-desktop depends on gnome-screensaver.

How can I leave gnome-screensaver installed, but does not start on boot, and ensuring that xscreensaver does start!? My search-fu is no so good today!

Edit: alternatively I guess, I can run another flavor of Linux as the frontend, I'm not particularly fussy :) Can anyone recommend a distro where the desktop manager doesn't rely on gnome-screensaver?
