Hi all, hope someone can help me here.

I am trying to lower my CL of my RAM but having no luck as I am unable to change the timings in BIOS from AUTO. Not sure why and I have not been able to find any info as to why or how anywhere.

All I have been able to set the voltage manually to 1.35v as it was under on auto and its improved FPS noticably.

Really hope someone has some experience with my board maybe....

    Running the following:
    CPU: 5600x
    Mobo: Gigabyte x570 Gaming X rev1.1
    RAM: 2x 16 TridentZ neo F4-3600c18D - CL18 22 22 42 1.35v
Graphics: Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC Rev 1.0

I have tried with enabling XMP and disabling and no luck.

For starters, just changing voltage won't improve performance unless you were unstable.

To change the RAM timings, you should be able to just type in the number. If that doesn't work you can try page up/page down.

Thanks so much! All this time I was clicking around as other lines I can click to change but these lol
    Seems to have booted up well with cl18 19 19 19 39 @1.35v

Is 1.35v enough or should I be upping this a tad more? I am assuming from what you wrote id up it only if it becomes unstable with the current tweak?

For starters, I'd recommend reading the guide in my signature

ran 1.5v on my daily PCs bdies since 2019 or so, but different ram scales differently and is affected by voltages more/less.
no real reason to go much higher than that. on your kit ~1.45v would be at the point of negligible gains

you're on the right idea though, gradual drops to the CL, test, then bump volts or revert last changes once unstable, depending where your comfort level is :)
