    Hi,

Anyone in aus have on of these switches in their homelab?

I want to grab one for the home office (close to the bedroom) but I'm concerned about noise levels.

Does anyone have one and cares to comment?

    Thankyou

Its mainly fan off until it reaches 72c.

You can hear it but its not overally loud, and you can change the fans out easily enough (and doesnt effect warranty apparently)

I have one. I couldn't really hear it at all previously..
I definitely can't hear it over the USG4 which has an annoying highpitched whine.

I have two at home/offfice along with a USG (the noise maker), a 48 porter and some little 8 port jobs. The switch in question only runs when it warms up. If not going in a rack, mount vertically on its edge (take note of the direction the fans flow air through it, no point them trying to push hot air down) so natural convection airflow will occur, fans will basically never run.
