With the shaping being upped to 1MB, would you consider this "Unlimited" now?

    Edit:

TPG is pleased to announce an exciting up coming change to our ADSL2+ product range. For the first time we will offer an Unlimited Broadband product for only $75 a month that has:

    · No Shaping Speeds.
    · No Time Limits or Time Restrictions.
    · ADSL2+ technology.

What makes this even more exciting is that for an extra $1 our Home Phone Line Rental can be purchased as an optional add on at the time of purchase. A $10 Minimum call charge for TPG Home Phone applies. This product will be available at Limited Exchange Coverage areas only. More details to be provided at the time of product release.

Yeah i got the mobile $19.99 plan too ($14.99 for me as i have ADSL2+)

Was thinking of getting their $1 PAYG mobile plan with 150mb data, but i think i make more calls than use data. I tend to use data on my WIFI at home more than anything else.

Shame you still have to pay $30/month for line rental.

Don't get fooled, unless you are one of those archaic people who actually uses a land line still.

yeah, im just on the $12.99 one as I only need $150 per month of calls.

One thing I couldn't work out is why the PAYG is so cheap?

it seems to be a really good deal but I couldn't find the catch

It's like they release a new plan every month! I swear I had just updated my plan to the 120gb 512 capping last month, now there's a new plan.

Geez I only just upgraded to the $50/month 60/60 plan..

A Telstra Homeline Budget line for ~$20/month or "naked" DSL for an extra $10-20/month.. I know which one I'd choose.

These look good, considering I currently get a sync speed of around 4mb I would not even notice the shaping.

Not only is a landline still useful, you are paying for it with "Naked" ADSL products anyway... So who is being fooled?

holy crap. i just realised i can save $75/mo by:
    - changing from my voda cap to tpg (same usage) - save $35
    - changing my old plan to the naked version of my plan (same quota) and it's cheaper by $10 + my $28 line rental

might call tpg about this sometime this week.

    No, you need telstra lines

Oh, you can also bundle TPG lines for new customers

So you'd rather TPG give your money to Telstra? :)

    How is it useful?

For 1800 or 1300 numbers, or when you'll be on hold for extended periods (i.e. TPG support).

It's also especially useful for line faults: God help you if you're on ULL and have problems.

why is being on hold a problem with naked? I haven't had a problem with this. I would prefer no money ever goes to hellstra but it at least makes me feel a lill better that I don't get a bill from them every month

I don't ring *WIN A FREE CAR ZING ZING* numbers so not ringing 1800 numbs doesn't bother me, + i think I can do that anyway.

I don't have any problems. If I did i would ring my ISP, or move.

I'm STILL on 25gb+25gb 64k shapping , cuz I wont shell an extra $5 for my mobile phone plan. Still enough for me.

Your $10 mobile cap doesn't change if you move ADSL plans.
