Umm, speedtest.net and dslreport results are pretty much the same but streaming speed (youtube, etc.) is way slower.

    Wow....TPG doing well...

Finally the consumer will have their day in the sun, after years and years of being in the dark of high prices and low quotas

Not untill it's available on TW z1/2/3 ports at adsl2+ speeds we won't.

Not everyone is lucky enough to be on an exchange with TPG's hardware....

...not everyone is lucky enough to even be on an exchange.... fucking rims.

I'm about to sign up to the TPG unlimited plan in a rental house.

Do I have to get the phone line connected first before they can convert it to naked dsl? If so, who knows the cheapest way to do this?

    I haven't used a landline in years...

I can't see that ADSL1 product being sustainable.

They are also releasing unlimited ADSL2+ for $59.99 standalone next week too.

Do TPG restart your contract when you downgrade plans?

I'm doing the same but have no choice as unlimited standalone isn't available, only unlimited with homephone. Shitty little exchange but the upside is the less people that have access to the unlimited on my exchange the more interwebs for me :lol::lol:

Just spent a week waiting for the codes to be removed. Finally signed up today now 2-4 weeks to go :upset:

Now I know why 3 give me 3gb of downloads on my mobile plan, there is no chance in hell I'd ever be able to use it browsing at speeds slower than dial

Happen to have a link to that? If this is whats going to happen I'll be a rather happy man. So sick of being stuck on 1500kb/s because TPG don't want to offer ADSL2+ at my exchange and I don't want to pay so much for 8000kb/s.

Right now I've been more tempted than ever to go back to Telstra.
