    Ok, it says:

Broadband Unlimited Standard Speed - Cable

Though I'm pretty sure I contacted at the quickest speed when I signed up a few years ago - I take it "standard" isn't 100mbps?

Ok, when I signed up it was:

    BigPond Elite® Liberty 500GB - Cable 3.0

Should the "Elite" not have meant 100mbps?

I saw this come across OzBargain on the weekend. Gave the modem a restart. I'm now running 113/5. Happy days.

Especially so since NBN HFC has been delayed yet again till Jan-Jun 2019. Add yet another 6 months on from NBN implementation since my area was announced as a 2nd release area in July 2010 for completed roll-out August 2011.....

I'm guessing it's to build brand loyalty for the impending NBN changeover.

Keep Telstra customers happy, because once the you're the NBN, you've got hundreds of ISPs available.

Why havent they advertised it? maybe it's a slow rollout, and if you announce something like this you'll get everyone bitching.

Any idea when/where they're doing DOCSIS 3.1 trials?
Supposed to be online sometime this year.

DOCSIS 3.1 is the protocol being used for NBN services.
I doubt Telstra would trial DOCSIS 3.1 when their HFC is going to be taken over.

Has anyone else noticed lag spikes since rebooting to enable the increase? Have noticed this in gaming on local servers.

Yes I can confirm that customers who are in a HFC (non nbn) area, there's currently a cease sale on transitioning from HFC to NBN HFC (with Telstra at least). Until they stop the cease sale, customers will receive a free $0 speed boost.

<-- most will get over 100mbps (i'm getting 115mbps down, and 5mbps up on HFC)
