    Hi guys
Not sure if this has been mentioned here but just a heads up that there will be the RAAF display at Richmond airforce base tomorrow and Sunday. I guess this would make a great photo opportunity and maybe some of the NSW people could have done a photo meet there or something. Anyway here’s the details: http://www.raaf.gov.au/airshow/ and http://www.cityrail.info/event/061021-airshow.jsp. Anyone planning on going?

I'm very reliably informed that there's going to be an excellent F111 component to this air show. Shame I cant make it.

Looks like I'll be going as well but all I have is a 3x zoom p&s  . Anyone know if there will be any grounded aircraft that can be photographed in 3x zoom range? I don't think I'll even bother with moving aircraft.

As one of the air show organising team I can assure you that there will be ample opportunity to get up close and almost personal with static aircraft for some lovely pics.

Having gone through the rehearsal for the day there are some quite impressive displays. The United States Air Force C17 ( a massive aircraft) will take off within a football field length .. that is something to behold. We are geting this aircraft at the end of this year.

Not to mention the other displays .. I am a bit biased but this will be a fantastic day .. the first Defence air show to be held in Sydney for 10 years.

The weather is a bother I must admit. The worst affect will be on parking and the roads. My advice to all who wish to see the air show is to catch a train.

Video/ stills all should be happy with the pics/vision you get.

Hope you enjoy the show. There has been a lot of effort put in

Well I got some shots of afterburners, grounded aircraft and aircraft in flight. I can post them if people want to see them. I also have about 8 minutes of f111, f18 and other aircraft which I filmed in flight but I have no idea how to host it.
