Do you know if they have a VPN client also (Giganews has VyprVPN as part of the monthly cost)

Directly integrates with sabnzbd and nzbget, no processing scripts of any kind. Works *massively* better with failed downloads. (sickrage has *some* failed download handling, but it's pretty unreliable and not great even when it is working). Far lower resource usage. Modestly better interface. No major disadvantages. It's better :p

Getting back into the usenet thing after a break. Used to have the Node but no longer (Telstra now..) so I have to get a Usenet account.

Question is - supernews or giganews? I never used to bother with VPN - is it necessary? Or is SSL enough?

Sickrage wouldn't process Grand Tour last night properly, updated it and as has happened before, stupid shit wouldn't load. Heap of errors etc. Rather than try to fix it again, cracked the shits and deleted it.

Had to fark around installing mono on my old Ubuntu server but once I got past that, fark Sonarr is so much easier and nice to use. Should have switched ages ago.

Anyone else having issues with Dognzb timing out? Stopped working for me a few days ago..

Wondering if it's possible my ISP has blocked me?

Is it me or is something up with Astraweb? I'm struggling with speed and with blocks. Usually I can get about 6 MB/s but now I'm steady on 1 to 1.3, and I'm failing a lot of larger files. I'm going to have to find an alternative that's not Giganews.

I picked up a sub to newsgroup ninja today. Will see how it goes compared to super news. Was getting 10MB/s from them hopefully I can match it. It's a few dollars a month cheaper.

Also bought a sub to NZBgeek to see if they're better than nzb.su who seem a little slow on the uploads these days.

Ninja is good, did you get the reduced rate?

If you didn't I think you can ask for it.

I find NZBGeek to be the best one I've tried so far, especially since OMG is dying a slow death.

    Huzzah! Pleased to hear.

Ugh! I did not!! I'll send them a support ticket and see if I can snare it. Very good value if I can. Thank you for the heads up!

Have not had a single fail since moving to sonar and just nzbgeek from sick rage and various free indexers. Using Astraweb in both cases.
