How about just wait it out. Internode news servers resolve to 4 different ips it’s probably one of the 4 servers that is playing up.

    http://advisories.internode.on.net/item/16523/

Just let your backup block servers do what they are designed to do.

Yeah, that's my plan. Just sussing out a few options in case it doesn't.

How did you configure the European server in SABnzbd? A separate server with a lower priority?

Well, there it is. End of a pretty good run. Glad I jumped on the XSUsenet special!

Goddammit, one of the value-add reasons I'm with internode in the first place.

And the last reason I had to stay with Internode. See ya Node. You are a shadow of what you once were.

Im finding XS to be very very average, at least compared to giganews anyways. Even with 49 connections the speeds are all over the shop, where with giganews they are a solid 11.3Mb/s all day.

And in other news, have broken the 70tb (70.3tb) barrier on giganews now.

I have been using NZBGet lately, and do it like that. I simply treat the Euro server as another fill server account. The speeds I get off the US server have always been better than the Euro server, hence going that way about. But ymmv :)

I found usenet server .com was great for the 4 years i had telstra cable before moving. 12 connections was all it took to maintain 11 MB/s all day any day. Back on ADSL now so dont ask :(

NewsGroupDirect (NGD) has been solid for about 18months for me. I tried UseNetServer (UNS) but it was consistently slow. NGD consistently hits 28mbps which is the top of my connection

The internode service cancellation is the end of an era :( I was leaving internode at the end of the month moving to Aussie Broadband and NBN. I've had a pretty good run.

I got the email as well, I think I'll probably stick with them, the speeds have been decent for me (7-8MB/s on 100/40) after coming from UsenetServer. Will have a browse around to see if there's any other good options first though ..

My Astraweb block account ran out again, so giving the Usegroup Ninja a crack. Speeds are better than the 5MBs I was getting with Astraweb. Getting 6.5MBs on UNN, via a Telecube 100/40 Vocus account...

Looks like an improvement straight away. And how easy is that signup process! Wow :)
