You should have stayed around a bit longer. I just played a Titan server with approximately 10 other people, it was a lot of fun (especially now that I kind of know what I am doing).

lol its funny... i jumped on to see if there was any action going mid arvo on sunday... All servers 100% empty, so I figured I'd play against some bots.

Picked a random server with +6 bots... 2 minutes later... 10 people in the server with me :D

Seems like theres a lot of browser-lurkers for UT3, so if you are keen for a game, just join any old server and u'll be fine.

Well I gave it a good go for a few hours and can't say I'm very convinced. To me it just feels like an inferior version of UT2k4, runs kinda crumby on my PC and graphics aren't that impressive.

    I miss assault mode :(

That's because you're used to 2k4... I stopped playing 2k4 years ago, jumped into UT3 fresh without any bias, and I love it.

As a contrast, I jumped back into 2k4 and I hate it! It feels wrong, the physics are all whack and it's just so... cartoony...

Also, I recently played UT99 again - and it still feels pretty good :) So, UT99 and UT3 FTW :D

This seems to be the opinion of quite a number of players. Those who loved UT99 and disliked UT2k4 seem to enjoy UT3.

Yeh strange that. UT3 just seems more like 2k3 to me, the whole "chunky" feel to it. I would have thought 2k4 to be more similar to original UT.

The original UT will never ever die.....you heard it first here on Channel Chilled :D

There will always be a place for the originals.

They still didn't fix the bloody FOV.

I laughed my ass off when i saw a interview with an dev of the game, saying " they listen to the community", when in reality they seem to just ignore the hell out of the community.

Probably need to download this titan thing, and give it a go in a windowed mode.

I think you have to get 10 kills to fill up your "titan meter", then you press "R" (default key) and you'll transform into a juggernaut.
