Via AC97 audio controller wdm

    I just put together GB 7x-h and athlon 1.2c .Am running W2k and 98se . W2k fine. 98se problems with usb (now resolved) but still no sound from the on board sound.
    All and any help appreciated:(

    Have you installed the drivers off the driver CD?
    If you have make sure you have selected it as your prefered device in Control Panel ---> Multimedia

    No there are no devices showing up. Also i cannot get volume control to open . reininstalled it a few times. And also remove and reinstalled via drivers afew times. Beginning to supsect a 98se incompatability.

    Have you got the onboard sound enabled in BIOS?

    There should be an optoin to enable onchip sound, hunt around for it.
