Just to show the world VIA isn't dead on the processor front. http://www.digitimes.com/mobos/a20070725PD206.html Maybe this one will finally match a PIII in a clock for clock comparison. They say "first quarter of 2008"...But knowing VIA, I'll give them a year after that.
twice as fast as the old architecture is still like about 16 times slower then a Pentium III ... i kid i kid, its not that bad. Probably still no competition for a P3 though.
VIA were never dead on the processor front. I take it this will be for one of their own board/socket designs then? I'd like to see another manufacturer back in the game using one or both of the current top sockets.
