Here's a few picts to compare various VIA mobos. http://news.com.com/2300-1041_3-6188587-1.html Mini-ITX, Nano-ITX, Pico-ITX and Mobile-ITX Mobile-ITX comes in 2008. (or so they say) Its CRAZY small! http://news.com.com/2300-1041_3-6188587-5.html
These would make for great embedded solutions. Off the top of my head, I am thinking firewall/gateway.
I have a Mini-ITX box (pics) that I use as a server and for downloading. They're not too expensive, very quiet/silent, very low power drain, and are just plain awesome
Search static ice for "via itx". Here is an intel one I've being looking for. too expensive in oz though.
I have a Epia 800mhz in a mini itx morex case with 512MB ram and onboard video (vga + svideo). Fits 1 3.5HDD and a slimline cdrom. I'll sell it for the right price. Ran as a carpc in my car. Worked well for GPS and mp3 playing.
Make me a legit offer and I'll tell you if your in the ballpark. The only thing this little case needs is a hard drive. PM me if you would like to go make me an offer. keep the selling out of this thread.
Do any of the via boards have the plugs located parrallel to the board as opposed to at a right angle? OR are there adaptors that can do this?
