Hi all, I have a r9 290 that i suspect has been giving me grief of late...

It just black screens and crashed the system when gaming..

The temps seem fine and i had some luck with it buy underclocking / undervolting and increasing fan speed...

I just want to rule out other components b4 buying a new card...

Do these figures point to anything (i was looking for a temp spike or voltage drop):

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

Can you swap in another spare card just be certain?

Looking like the card is not fearing too well.

Looks like it's reading the +12V rail on the PSU a bit low. Down to 11.75v under load and 11.88v idle.

    What PSU do you have?

Maybe you could post the HWInfo 64 Sensors screens.

    And your complete build.

    That'd help.

You could give the hair dryer or oven trick a try. I've done the hair dryer trick 3 times on my R9 290, it seems to only work for about 3 months each time though. Turn card over, wrap the card in aluminium foil except for the GPU, then hover a hair dryer over the GPU on high back & forth for about 6 minutes. Allow to cool for 1/2 hour, then re-install in computer, should be ok for another 3 months if like mine.

It'd be handy to see the rest of Sensors eg CPU temps, PSU voltages, etc.

And know what the rest of your PC is eg PSU.
