Hi. I bought a EVGA GTX 680 from OCAU.
When I run Speccy on the card, it says ForceWare Version 417.35. Sli Disabled.
Does this mean it was a card used for mining?
    Thanks.

I don't think you can readily tell if a card has been used for mining or not.

SLI Disabled will be in reference to the fact you don't have another card in SLI with it. ForceWare is an Nvidia Multimedia recording tool thing.

No one in their right mind would use that card for mining anyway. It would be costing twice as much as it was earning.

Could have mined with it when GTX 680s were the business, but you wouldn't mine with it anymore. I doubt too many people where mining back then any way. I did on my 680 for a bit got myself a few lite coins with it.

Any way no way to tell if someone has used a card for mining unless they tell you.

Very true. At the end of the day, if they are a serious miner, card is well looked after and often run below spec. Imagine if it was a single computer in a share house, and everyone took shifts gaming. Wouldn't be all that much different to mining 24/7, except the miner would have set power draw and temp limits to keep efficiency.

The whole "Oh it's been mined on" stigma shits me to tears.

Shhhhh..... I like buying cheap GPUS from miners at a fraction of their going rate.

Yeah when I was younger I would overclock the GPU and game for hours every day and stay up all night gaming at a LAN every week, then the family would use it still with overclock settings. I worked the GPU's harder than I ever use the GPU mining.

On the topic I think d1ng0d4n is correct that you don't have another card in SLI.
