I kicked off the download as I left for work this morning (along with the COD Map pack and the overlord demo) so I'll check it out tonight, but from what I remember of the video preview, its a new thing to let you download (and purchase) music video's, do playlist things, and the like.

Downloaded a midnight, server was overloaded so couldn't log on. Seems the vids are in 4:3 which is a bit of a bummer, but hey it's free :). Will give it a good go over the weekend.

Yeah, here's hoping the same applies for internode.

after looking through and playing with vidzone for 20 mins or so i like it as an online radio for ps3

the songs are limited for me (not much i would choose to listen to, but some ok stuff there)

to download a song, it seems to only come up with options to download it for a mobile phone?

the vids are terrible low res (and as said above 4:3) which means i can turn the tv off and have the radio... but with more data usage than is needed for the music

also, as PAL console, i have lots of british telecom (BT) ads in the vids and on menus (during the track the name of band + song title + advert come up on the bottom of the screen, every 10-20 seconds or so

not to my liking yet, but its a start... and free :)

I'm pleasantly surprised honestly. 4:3 vids do suck as does the low res, but I could see it's use for parties. Bump the vids to 720p perhaps and expand the damn music selection! Sure you have Michael Jackson's Thriller, but where the hell is Smooth Criminal?

    It also rickrolled me. :tired:

They should have all his videos since he's on Epic which is owned by Sony.

I'm liking this too...I put together a foo fighters playlist and found myself happily sitting there watching away, blisfully unaware of the time.. The video quality isn't great, but its ok - feels like a PS3 customised youtube player ;)

The controls suck a little though, its workable, but not clean and intuative like the rest of the PS3.

The main problem is that it doesn't support the BT remote.

there seemed to be a little bit of a mix of low and medium resolution videos.
ie some didnt seem as pixelated as others.

awesome stuff for a free service even if the search and stuff is a little clumsy atm.

finally got around downloading this service.
I'm actually suprised how extensive the list of music videos is.

I was expecting maybe 10-20 recent videos, but found myself spending an hour or so browsing through all the lists.

this is actually a pretty good service for free
