The installer has the option of making the client app automatically run when logging into selected windows accounts. The screenshots can be controlled remotely also including quality and frequency. The app could be started remotely at any time as well if required. Assuming dual-screen setup, under each mini-ss on the left screen is a series of letters. If a parent didn't want their kids on games, porn or social sites, the letters would be "P G S". So effectively, if an employee spotted anything worth checking out, they can quickly see what kid/employee is/isn't supposed to be looking at/doing.

Parent/Employer can then be alerted however they wish when something is found. Email w/ SS, phone call, text etc.

Each client had a folder on the server which their time-stamped screenshots uploaded to, with a excel file that had settings. An app was made that counts how many screenshots, by how often they were polled, and calculated their online time. One button could do this at the speed of about 20 accounts per second. It mail-merged their account details and billed amount into invoices ready to be printed/folded/sent.

Pricing hadn't been decided at the time, obviously business/corp accounts would get discounted rates etc.

    Simple system really.

I think you should still go ahead with this. I imagine if you could get the publicity needed to get it well known, such as getting a story on ACA or something. I believe a lot of money could be made!

Beware a lot of issues like screen-capping semi-transparent windows and such. There's ways to dodge even screen-cappers and key-loggers.

I think if someone is going to that extent to dodge it you have bigger problems. I wouldn't expect a program like this to cover scenarios like this.

If a kid is smart enough to realise he is being monitored and use a transparent window to block it I imagine he would just disable it completely or use his own laptop.

    you'd be surprised.

I remember we used to deliberately look for ways to 'break' the system so to say, often dodging these things was more fun then whatever we were doing anyway.

It took screenshots directly from video card driver API. worked with most ati/nvidia/intel chipsets from what I know (info provided by ex-coder-guy).
