Used to roll this game on release, thought it was great, had a marauder, got to level cap, then RvRed flat out but never got even remotely close to a city, how is it now? Have they fixed RvR? Or would i just wait for the 40k mmo?

40k mmo is 2+ years away..
ORVR is having massive change next patch due in a month or so which so far from the play tests seems great.... Cities have been redesigned also so they are pretty good now to...

    Now, maybe.

At launch WAR pvp was fucking disgustingly bad. Their action bars barely even worked for anyone on a ping over 100... it was really, really bad. Knockbacks and AOE being rediculously overpowered, as though no testing had even been done didn't help either.

ORVR was as bad as the old tarren mill days... it was just a zergfest. Same with keeps, biggest blob wins.

If all these issues have been adressed... then yeh, it is probably pretty damn good by now :D

Those issues have been pretty much resolved...

AOE in some cases can be a little to strong but with smart play be beaten.

    really?

i played on launch, yeah AoE was powerful, but i took that as compensation for having a class that died if you breathed on them... knockback sucked into lava yeah....

i never ever felt the lag, even at 300 odd ms, was very responsive.

i loved the game, but none of my friends played, so i had to quit or be alone :/

Tier 1/2 pvp at launch was freaking awesome.

ORvR was always bad, although the numbers were epic at first!

People from OCAU still playing this? How are you finding it?

I always loved the WH mythos, just everyone jumped ship at Wrath launch, so I jumped ship too. (I'm pretty sure I've said this already in this thread.) Kinda interested in knowing how it's going, I do miss it.

    Yeah i still play it..

There is basically badlands server which is very busy and 3 other servers which are about to be consolidated into one.. So basically there are 2 very active English servers...

Its still quiet fun keep takes are a little dry currently and there is a bit of a gear gap emerging but non the less i enjoy the game.

I actually downloaded it again and had a play around after xfering all my chars from the no longer existent oceanic servers. Ran around T1 RvR as a Zealot, had a ball with a little group of Destros on Iron Rock I think.

I still miss this game, I wish my friends played it. It's annoying it doesn't have the population it really needs.

Now that the servers are consolidated its very busy and fun!

The 2 main servers are Gorfang and Badlands... Gorfang has a reasonable oceanic population.

Downloaded this again on the weekend, oh my god how it has changed!

So much fun playing this right now, people need to get the word out about it again so that the population picks up again.

It seems to be the lull between MMOs at the moment.
I've just installed WAR again and look forward to messing around. Seems the game is heavily PvP oriented now which is good. Gonna have a bash tonight

WAR is a fantastic game right now if you like PVP and you like mmo's it is the best game...

It's just to bad EA don't see this and give the game some more love :/

Gorfang is the server to be on in for us.
