i remember reading something about that in 06/07, Xylitol is huge in lollies in Finland.
Thanks for the warning OP, I don't have a kong any longer so my boy doesn't get any peanut butter these days but I'll pass this on to relatives who do.
i am quite thankful that in australia all ingredients need to be clearly listed on products, that law is not in place in some other countries so i feel really sorry for them.
I hink i heard a dog can survive xylitol poisoning but it will need dialysis for the rest of its life... check with your vet
Also, for anyone that spits gum out on the street, start thinking that each time you do it you are killing a dog
If it was up to me I'd ban gum completely for the social scourge that it is. Disgusting stuff.
Thanks OP, good to pass that on. We use peanut butter in our dog's Kong but it's not diet. Could have easily bought the diet one though!
Thanks for this. would never have known!
Welcome to all you guyz
Excess xylitol consumption will give you the shits
Probably give you more than just that
Xylitol is great for your teeth though. Swings and roundabaouts.
I've heard that its good for teeth but didn't heard about swings and roundabaouts.....
