I'll definitely take the odd shitty port to enjoy the majority of games at 60+fps and true HD resolutions.

Oh and then there's the modding.

As for this game, I'm sure we'll get the usual Ubisoft downgrade but hopefully the gameplay can hold up well. I'll be enjoying Dishonored 2 before thinking about this though.

Ubisoft make a shitload of fun games, the downgrades aside their games are still plenty good looking imo, makes me hopeful for future games to look that good too.

So the reviews are rolling in and it sounds like it's falling into the "pretty good" category.

Have played about 90 mins so far. Honestly. It's going to be an 'ok' game. Main story will take about 15hrs tops. side missions is where the variety will be.

If anyone else is going to play on PS4, hit me up for some co-op.

Waiting on the PC release for me.

The original wasnt a terrible game, and i played all of it.

2 seems to be what the original SHOULD have been.

Keen to see how good the PC port is before i take the plunge.

    thoughts on the characters?

They all look like douchebags to me.

speaking of douchebags, this guy dressed his protagonist up like some kind of hipster.

All these dressup shenanigans make me want to hurt the protagonist at every opportunity.

The comments are full of people talking about fashion - what the shit!?

Give me Aiden's lonely loner character any day of the week over this depressing shit.

Props To Watch Dogs 2 For Making Marcus Look Fly As Hell

that bolded bit, I don't even know what that means and I never want to.

Yeah, so it goes from a trial run to join dedsec, to being a full on leader in the space of 1 game day, including BFF status with everyone in the group.

I dont get the fashion angle either. Theirs heaps of clothing options. I'll just put on an outfit once and play that way throughout. (Did the same for GTA5, default clothes ftw).

will get in deeper tonight for more in depth answers.

I would wear Trevor's outfit from GTA 5 in every game if they let me, default outfit is all I've every needed. If there is some kind of benefit from changing stuff up like armour or whatever yeah that's fine but what is this, The Sims?

I'm looking forward to the PC release. It does suck that PC tends to get the shaft on release for anti-piracy purposes, re-branded as 'quality control testing'. But I went for a 980 GTX instead of a home console.

The 1st game was fun and I have been playing it again recently too. The promo videos for Watch Dogs 2 look legit. From the 1st game multiplayer was unique with it's mini-game like modes. Driving physics in the 1st game were pretty crap too, but luckily with unlimited stamina it wasn't much an issue.

As for hype, that is dangerous to your enjoyment. I dug the camera hoping and other aspects of the 1st game. When I see people expect a video game to take a 'serious hacktivist' storyline, I do get a hearty chuckle.

I'll stop here to not derail the thread. Enjoy the release while us PC clowns wait for the 29th. :p

Put in another few hours last night mainly doing side missions to see more of the city... Something is not jarring with but I can't put my finger on it yet. I think it's a control issue as I'm too used to Assassins Creed (pretty much the only games I play on console) maybe. Lack of jump button or similar.

Combat is a refreshing change too, a few hits and you're down. Not superman like other games.
