Stupid money those now. Even the 180x2 fair bit $129??

140x3 think the sweet spot if new.

Hey guys, I've been having some thoughts about designing/improving the efficiency of a water cooling block.

I was hoping that if anyone had some unwanted/unused cpu blocks lying around that they could send me? I want to build a test bench that I can bolt the block to and run water through to compare the efficiencies (without actually using a CPU so socket doesn't really matter).

hey gwil257 do you think the 2 x 5mm extenders would fix this?, it works fine but my ocd would prefer it straighter:weirdo:

what size and colour are they? i have 7/16 5/8 fittings, not sure if it matters about the size or not, colour probably not so important as they will be pretty much unseen anyway

even one of them would be an improvement, if you think it will work

    LMK

    cheers

140x3 with a bit of thickness is about $129. A 180x3 is $149 for a lot of surface area.

It is the biggest rad I can fit in the Lan-Li that I got from _slacker_. :thumbup:Unfortunately the build will take a while, while I save for the goodies (I reckon 6 months if I am lucky). Ultimately I will run a 3x180 and 2x140. Maybe also a 3x120 just for shits and giggles. Also because it has two compartments (upper and lower) I will run rigid in the top windowed area, and then normal tube in the hidden lower cause I cannot be fucked running rigid everywhere. :Paranoid:

    That isn't OCD mate......

Looks like half a fitting diameter will be the ticket. 5mm would be damn close.

i'm actually surprised it worked as well as it does, was plenty nervous when leak testing that one:Paranoid:
and yeah, i roughly measured it and i think its close to 8mm height diff between the 380i and the southbridge block

I actually think fark the radiators, it's so cold here in winter
every bloody thing freezes. Pipes included -8deg

Big bastard water container ( like you do home brew in )
run the tubes too it. Stick fricken 30% anti freeze in it.

2deg & the bearings try to lock on fans in cheaper psu's.
But them Seasonic's keep going even when my nuts are frozen off

I've posted out all the packages today. Sorry they are delayed. I've been having trouble being able to leave the house before 4pm on weekdays due to have a newborn.

Anyway, expect them in the next few days.
