I may be happy to lend you my spare delid die mate 2 if you cover postage ;)

And if you wish to set up that sharing thing I’m happy to supply the tool, just don’t have the time to organise the logistics of it personally

I'd definitely jump on the delid train if anyone has one to lend out for 1151 socket. Don't mind paying for registered post either way.

Does anybody know of anyone in Melbourne that offers a delidding service? I would love to do it myself but I feel leaving it to somebody more experienced is the best way to go in my particular case.

Budget used water cooled pc is going well. Will be my first custom loop.

XSPC 360mm kit from 2012 BRAND new acquired.
10x ek compression fittings to use instead of barbs fittings that cam with the kit.

Chasing some kind of water cooled GTX card. Been watching ebay and gumtree alot, 780, 780 ti and 980's mostly.

Seeing if anyone has a spare block for gpu floating around? just trying to narrow my search a little haha. I do have a Asus 680 I could use.

That'd be really cool (haha pun)

This is the gpu in question.

Would there be compatibility issues because its a non reference card? Google seems to tell me that block is for reference cards. Or am I wrong. I dont want you to go to the trouble to send it for nothing you know?

plenty of pictures on google of this block , but it does look like its reference only. i bought it off the forums to use on my Gigabyte windforce GTX680 but i got a second card before i used the cooler. i never actually fitted it to a card... couldnt see the point of only 1 card being water cooled and the other air cooled..lol

I have an EK-FC970 with backplate. Might have a few screws missing though, not sure. It is ideal on a short PCB version of the 970 if you can pick one up, the Gainward Phantom is the most likely but make sure its definitely a short PCB, they aren't always.

They make a great space saver, same length as a ITX motherboard, and will outperform a 680 whilst using less power. You can have the water block for nix, but you'll need to find a suitable card for it first of course. A secondhand Phantom 970 in here should sell for 150-170 bucks.

It would be cheaper to simply buy a water block to suit the card you have, but the only possibility for your card is going with an AIO/Hybrid,
