So i finally got the new WD TV live working sweet.

How --> using a network cable and getting rid of wireless....

Also there were a few random folders that had different permissions in my directories.

But now everything is sorted and its playing couple day old 17gb mkv's :D

Since updating to the latest firmware Tversity hasn't been working for me, I'm getting the "There is no media in the current folder" error message.

Looks like a few others are getting it also:

Anyone here getting this also? Normal sharing is fine.

If anyone ever gets the error above then the link I've posted is a successful fix, I've just tried it myself and all good now

that is a great price. just got one on the weekend from jb for $148 :-/

i'm having a hard time connecting to smb/cifs shares though. damn thing is pissing me off.

    win 7 firewall switched off
public read access on shared folders enabled
    accessible throughout the network

the device is connected to a second router upstairs which is chained properly as far as i can tell (connected to lan port, outside ip range, dhcp disabled). my laptop can see the shares without dramas.

    grr :upset:

i have mounted some nfs shares and they've visible so it's ok for now but i'd still like to figure this out. any ideas? short of a complete network reset. well, i did reset my router last night because i accidentally blocked the mac address (it was called Charlie and i didn't reckognise it). oops. anyway, after reconfiguring it i still can't see the shares.

i have a hp n40l coming tomorrow hopefully so i might do a complete network reset. thinking of using freenas 7 off a usb and i'm guessing i won't have any issues with the shares.

Has anyone managed to add a network share to the library feature? Says it was fixed in the recent firmware update but when I try to add the network share as a library source I just get an error that says it cannot perform this function whilst compiling the media library.

I picked up a couple of these at JB HiFi for $86 each!

Think it might have been a pricing mistake as they were all individually labeled but the shelf and catalog had them for $110.

Was easily 30 or so sitting on the shelf at JBHifi Liverpool.

Will make for great christmas presents when combined with a good set of.. linux isos.

They must have had it wrong then because that's an incredible price! I don't know how they can do that price considering it has only recently been released :/

If it's a legit price then I'd get a printout and post it on ozbargains, they would go nuts because OW's would probably match it.
