    Sounds like you have a comedy extension / tampermonkey script installed - there have been a few over the years. "Cloud to Butt" was popular a few years ago. "Far Right to Neo-Nazi" is one doing the rounds at the moment.

    Looks like you have it automatically set to translate English into Ancient Japanese, just disable this feature and your pages will stay in English.

    i assume that's a joke?

    Not sure if it's site specific...
    but this is the site:

    Another example on this page:

    Do you have one browser set to adult mode and one set to kiddy mode? Maybe the website is serving you a sanitised version of itself for some reason?

    Indeed, network capture shows the "hug in Afghanistan" is what the server is sending for that page. Weird.

    I imagine your account has some kind of setting enabled, whereby it sends you safer wording. Anything in the account options?

    There are extentions available that will change whatever words you want to something else... who else uses the pc's? Are you sure there's not a script installed playing games? I gather you tried re-installing said browsers in an admin account?

    It's server side, not client side.

    Was thinking OpenDNS... Cloudfare doesn't have any content filtering AFAIK. :confused:

    It's not being filtered, google results are showing the same for that page, and the results below it show that, on a different website, it's meant to be 'murder'. It's being filtered on https://www.pogdesign.co.uk not somewhere between there and here.

    So that one site internally filters the show descriptions somehow. For everyone. Nothing you can do about it. It's part of that site.

    What else?

    Source code says hug. Also How to get away with murder (or hugs) has it too:

    https://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/How-To-Get-Away-With-Murder-summary

    Seems to only happen in the class="sumtext" in the page source.

    Looks like someone has been editing the website database, or maybe a word filter in whatever CMS they are using, replacing murder with hug. Maybe as a joke. Hey at least its not all PUDDI ( https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/cultures/giga-pudding )

    So far I've found:
    murder = hug
    murdered = cuddled
    body = inactive person

    Actually the descriptions seem to have been sourced from IMDB. Maybe they have been scraping the data, instead of paying a licensing fee, and IMDB have been having some fun at their expense.
