I did not even notice that the Stock extruder / bowden was still there lol.

PS, I think its more a Afterburn facade than a clone :)

Sorting out a profile for my Prusa MK3, printing eSun ePA-CF. Need higher glass transition-temp stuff than PLA and PETG for my big HevORT build - all parts are printed from PLA, they will be redone too, but for the moment, need to print the Extruder/hot-end from the Nylon-CF blend.

Just running a benchie through the Prusa, looking pretty good already. Now just finetuning bridging flow, cooling and speed. But luv this eSun nylon-blend, pretty easy to print, almost as easy as PLA.

Looking good! Glad to hear the eSun nylon is not took difficult, look forward to trying it on the Ender 5 (for Hevort parts of course)
Pity about the colour range though...

The Matt black looks bloody gorgeous irl though ;)

The only thing I am battling with is bridging, tbh. I have downloaded a few and it prints rather well with bridges shorter than 50mm or so, but when printing for example the back-plate for the EVA x-carriage, it completely mucks up those short 10mm bridges where the belt tensioners are supposed to go in. A lot of sagging on that bridging layer, yet, when I test the same profile on a good bridgetest from thingiverse, it works really well, nice and tight bridges, no sagging on the first layer.

Need to dive a bit deeper into this, will share my findings, will also try Superslicer tonight, as opposed to PrusaSlicer. Might post a pic or two a bit later, just need to take the Missus for her COVID vac quickly….

Getting on top of the eSun ePA-CF now, lovely filament, once it's dry. Benchy came out rather well, and now busy printing bits for my HevORT printer, but using the EVA X-carriage.

Some progress, having fun in the process too.

Just got myself an NZXT H1 and printed a full rear bracket/extender to include 2 fans for additional cooling and some RGB. Took about 30 hours to print both halves of the bracket on my Ender 3 v2. Here's the finished product:

Redesigning the EVA ecosystem Extruder/X-Carriage, to better suit my needs for the HevORT. Making good progress, the Nylon-CF works rather well.

I just picked up a second hand CloudKey Gen2 and rather than spend $175 on the genuine rack mount (which is very nice) I thought I'd see if I could print something instead. When I couldn't find anything I liked I decided to expand on the Raspberry Pi and USG mount that I printed last year.

This was October 2020 before installation:

I took the frame and sled approach and ran with it printing another frame to replace a set of blanks then modified a sled to hold the CloudKey Gen2. I've got a few ideas on how to improve it, but really, it's now in there and I'm over tinkering for today because disassembling the rack unit I smashed one of the ears, fine printed a new one. Then when installing the damn thing I overtightened the rack screw and cracked the top screw in the newly printed ear. F$%k it, it's in and holding :p

    Nice work, Boyz ;)

Busy calibrating my Hevort now, printing some cube to check ringing, getting better. Then will tune the harmonics quickly using the accelerometer on the Duet Toolboard, do the spectrum analysis quickly, and enter the resonant frequency in the config file, then will print something to see how it does...

glenneaux : More pix of that beast, please Mate!

2piece, bulb is hollow and I printed it a lot faster than the body (and in .2)

Continuing on from last time, I just printed another frame and tray for another Raspberry Pi I ordered yesterday. This time I also printed a USB HDD holder to sit ontop of the unit. It is wider than the Pi tray so I will have to re-arrange accordingly. I also printed a new right ear to replace the one I cracked last time, this time I also rotated the axis to give it greater strength on that screw hole.

Installed nicely and waiting for the next Pi.

Waiting for Charmander, then I'm going to paint them in light green/blue/orange and the highlights in dark green/blue/red
