understand that some companies have their own private networks.

ie - Telstra has their own Facebook-esk VPN network. You can gain access online with some social engineering. Most ISPs do the same. Yeah - invest the bucks and learn Chinese

If you access it without - I would advise you have a long hard talk with your Dad. If you had one.. most of us in this situation didn't really.

We just saw through your shit - looked at youtube vids and realised that we were right all along thinking it was you... not us. Yay internet.

Downside though... need to keep learning. Sharing information with others is a thing. Get good at that. Don't want to do that?

    Have some faith.

or just keep doing the same old thing over and over

PacketStorm RSS does a good job on recent security news.
    https://rss.packetstormsecurity.com/

If you are looking for vulns and PoCs (Proof of Concept) in the wild, keep browsing PacketStorm.

Twitter to an extent, but like reddit, large signal to noise ratio for the good reads.

FFS I googled this and my nephew was sitting next to me, lucky I saw XXX before I clicked on it.

would have been a rather awkward encounter.

I rate https://darknetdiaries.com creator picks some interesting subject matter and actively attempts to find angles which haven't been covered by everyone else. The back catalogue is worth going through.
