So is mine, that’s why I can’t remember the name of this game. I’m much happier to have this problem in 2019 than 1999 though.
was it a funny game guessing maybe from the solution you posted or serious. also did you have an on screen avatar - if so do you remember anything about them?
I’ve found it thanks to you suggesting beneath a steel sky. Knowing it had a similar theme, I googled cyberpunk point and click games. 5 minutes of looking at results led me to what I’ve been wondering for a while now. The game was Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy. From 1998 and published by Team17 I will promptly find it and build a PC just to play it. Thanks guys!
that looks pretty cool, i would have been all over this back in the day but have never seen it before - nice one. you should also play the bladerunner adventure game, it's feckin' sweet.
Oh man, that is by far the closest to what I remember. Although I recall it being more polished, and definitely a more detailed world. I'm going to give this a play just in case it's my memory embellishing the game rather than it actually being better.
It probably isn’t, but it does match the description and time frame quite well. I used to love the games. One day I’ll have to dig out the family computer and give it a bash again... Along with sim tower, slicks n slide, and good old red alert!
Thanks Dom for your reply. But that's not the one, although I have come across this during my various searches. I think it was in a multipack with Deathwish3. So gutted my whole C64 collection was disposed of years ago without my knowledge and against my wishes. Had a C64, dataset, 1541 drive, joystick, 5 cartridge games and boxes full of 5 1/4 floppies with many games. JSmith
well it sounds like a pitfall / pitfall 2 clone. Maybe try Orpheus in the Underworld Trapfall Jungle Hunt Cuthbert in the Jungle In some cases for those C64 games there might have also been multiple versions of the same game released the European release might have been made by one company and the US version might have been made by another company.
There was a game I found amongst my collection many years ago on the C64, I cannot remember the name of it, but it was quite advanced but prone to long load times and crashes, yet I can't help but want to try it again. It was an adventure game with a 3rd person perspective, there were cars in it that kind of looked like the cars from the came Syndicate.
Ok I doubt anyone will figure this out because I have no real information to offer. The game was played on Amstrad CPC464. It was in the style of Gauntlet looking down on the map and moving between rooms in a base of some type. There were these green "people" (I guess) and they'd try and kill you. Similar to the ghosts in Gauntlet except they didn't spawn they'd already be in the room. I think they might have been green because you were looking down at them and could just see their arms/shoulder and a green helmet on their head - so maybe they were some type of soldier? I distinctly remember calling the bad guys 'ants' for some reason but I was about 7 years old back then so who knows what I was thinking. I only played the game a few times but I liked it it a lot when I did. Unfortunately/fortunately we had a few draws in the desk full of hundreds of cassettes and knowing which game was which was a bit of a challenge aside from the 10-15 most commonly played by the family.
Hi All, Im looking for the name of a popular rally game from the 90s which was played in a view similar to Age of Empires 2, Warcraft 3 etc. It wasnt exactly top down, but it was on an angle. Any ideas?
Not that one, the one im thinking of isnt exactly top down, it was like on an angle and had real WRC cars from memory... but im not 100% sure on the licesning of real cars. No twists from memory.
