I noticed a similar thread in the Motoring Forum and searched and did not find one here. I thought that this may be a good spot to post things that you have done to your PC today that you don't think are worthy of posting a thread for, but would still like to share With the Community So post away
Asked it to come up with its own cable management system. I hate looking at the mess I've created in that damn window.....
Like the idea! Just got these Koolance Quick Disconnects from Jay, and didn't think it was worth updating my thread with! Using them for my drainage valves. sxy!
hahahaha, funny you should post this thread TODAY... -cut window -built a custom dual 5 1/4" bay resevoir -cut screw holes for a radiator -mounted pump still got a lot left to do!
nothing, it all just stopped working, now the CPU won't even boot in my other machine... everything was waddling on fine, stock clocks, playing some RA3 then it just stopped, shut down, refused to boot with any graphics cards, and cpu, tried it in my UD7 and then my main system wouldn't boot so im going to have to RMA it all, and the CPU...
Riveted the new midplate i made up into my TJ07, riveted the new backing plate i made up to the motherboard tray, measured up the front drive bay for a new alloy one piece that my bro is gonna guillotine and bend for me on monday. Stripped some powdercoat off, decided it was too hard and that im just gonna pay to get it stripped. Got quotes for spray job of case (outer) Black with blue pearl. Tossing up weather to buy noise deading now or later Bought some automotive putty to fix a fuck-up in the backplate
Black and blue pearl sounds nice! I'm hoping to extend a few lighting cables and switches this weekend so i dont have to open my back panel to turn the lights on/off
Gave my OC another punch up. Running 4.2ghz 200x21 1.44v (early adopter i7 940 c0/c1 stepping incase you're raising an eyebrow at the voltage) Ram 2000mhz 7-9-7-20-1N timings at 1.64v
Nice clock there, I should really try push mine a little further i currently have it at 3.0 i think (Q9400) Though i think my ram is holding me back and DDR2 is so expensive these days...
Thanks, I'm particularly impressed by the ram overclock. At stocks it runs 1600mhz 6-7-6-18-2N at 1.5v Sandy Bridge is coming soon, maybe you should jump onto the i7 bandwagon? Mainstream processors are being released first so prices shouldn't be that bad
Put a Zalman Fanmate 2 in my system as my cross flow fan was giving me nerves in my Server (Stacker) now its nice and quiet..
