Not very exciting. Started undervolting the 5600. Cinebench 23 (MultiCore) shows a drop of around 3% performance for a drop of about 24% power consumption and running a handy 9 degrees (20%) cooler as well. If anyone wants the test results:

Standard: zero offset; Max CPU speed 4450MHz; Cinebench Score 10,636; Max Temp 54 degrees; CPU Package draw 77.17W (3 x tests)

Underclock: offset -0.1625V; Max CPU speed 4000MHz; Cinebench Score 10,315; Max Temp 45 degrees; CPU Package draw 62.12W (5 x tests for stability)

Real life stability may force an decrease in the offset but at that clock speed, the power draw at -0.150 and -0.1375 was about 3W and 4W difference respectively, or 16% and 18% respectively with minimal increases in temp (2 degrees for both settings).

First time really trying to do this so as I said, not particularly exciting but interesting to anyone who is... interested.

Just put together my newly upgraded rig, and decided to use angled connectors to neaten up the cables. Also found that directing air into the case from the rear, and exhausting through the top brings lowest temps!

That does make a bit of sense, the GPU and CPU are now dumping most of their hot air into the same space which is being directly exhausted. CPU has access to super fresh air.

Got everything swapped into a converted g5 case (laserhive kit, 10/10 recommend), I still feel like half of it is missing in comparison to my previous 900D.

Swapped out the massive ATX PSU for an SFX to test out, 350W so should be alright for this machine (i3 12100, 128GB RAM, 4x16TB 3.5", RTX4060LP).
The HDDS will likely move to another dedicated Unraid machine soon, as currently Unraid is running in a VM.

Long story short, recently saved a relative $300 for a replacement 3TB surveillance storage drive, as a company technician claimed the drive had died. Stuck it in my PC, partitioned it and scanned it, 0 errors or problems. Found what the actual hardware failure/issue was shorty after and wasn't to do with the HDD

I swapped out my top 120mm fans for 140mm fans I bought from AliExpress. My PC is starting to look like a spaceship lol. Squirtle stops my case from doing a slight humming sound :p

Not PC per se, but the noise coming from my Synology NAS was unbearably loud. Replaced the two cooling fans with Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX. The difference is night and day!
