Perfect opportunity missed for community mesh wifi project and community internet purchase at wholesale rates from a large provider :/

Guys, if my home is currently on cable and will eventually be shifted to HFC then Im not using the old copper at all right? Does that mean I can expect similar performance to the cable I have now (plan permitting of course)?

HFC technically has copper in the coax, but if you mean the copper phone line, then no, you will use the current coax cable that your telstra/optus service uses.

Performance will be better provided you get a decent ISP, especially so in the upload department.
