    Hi all,

Looking to find a new prepaid provider, what is the best value one currently going around? I mainly use data, would like at least 30 days before credit expires.

    Thanks

I am currently with Aldi Mobile after ditching Boost when each recharge was for 28 days rather than 30/31 days.
I usually recharge with $25 and that gets me unlimited calls and sms + 4GB data (plus 100 international minutes to certain countries, plus unlimited to others).
Unused data rolls over up to 30GB.

They run on Telstra 4g - reception is spot on.

My only gripe is, if you run out of data, you cant open the app to recharge - you need to either be on wifi or tether off someone to recharge.

Lebara, owned by Vodafone Hutchison in Aust. Watch for specials (or sign up your email.....)

Earlier this month they had 16GB and all calls for $119/6 months and ability to stack up to 24months. The week earlier it had a bonus 4GB. I’ve seen it cheaper too. Regular price is $225.

I just took them up on a $169 special on their 12 month 7GB deal which is normally $300. I’ll let my half price 6month TPG deal run out and switch over. Voucher has 60 day expiry.

Check OzBargain, deals come up there regularly. If it's not on there it's not worth it.

Belong - unlimited calls and txt, 1gb of data - $10 per month. On Telstra network too. Not exactly prepaid, but you aren't locked in.

    Unlimited data banking too.

I got $40 belong Sim (telstra 4g, as above) from Officeworks for $20. That gives me 15gb data, then an additional 15gb of data on first billing cycle (I think there's one every 7 days - must make like easier). So 30gb of data with infinite rollover. Will swap back to $10 plan as mentioned above and have lots of gigs in reserve. You can gift data (so I can pinch my wife's if need be) and also get referral credit. I was with Aldi but got sick of the not being able to recharge once too late.

that Belong $10 plan looks good, i'm currently on the Spintel $9.95 plan but that only comes with 200 mins talk (which is usually more than enough, but sometimes not)

Not sure how much data you need, but Aldi, (instore), offer a 12 month prepaid SIM with unlimited Calls/SMS/MMS for $99.
Only 12gig of data though, and recharges are poor value, so only makes sense if you use a second sim or second device for data like I do.

Aldi have just changed things so you get infinite data rollover, which is nice :) I don't use much data so Aldi suits me well. m

    bump...

I am looking for a new provider.

    I am currently on

    • TPG's half price for 6 month (which is still available for new customers)
    • $15 per month for 10GB (so no upfront big payments)
    • unlimited calls SMS etc and
    • 100 mins intl calls
    • but it runs out soon and then goes back to $29.99 per month

I've never been on a plan with so much data before and I've kind of got used to 10GB at least so that's about the minimum I am looking for.

Who I am looking at at the moment:

    Kogan
    • 365 day plan
    • (40% off special)
    • 13GB of data per 30 days &
    • unlimited std calls and texts
    • $205.60 upfront which is $17.13 per month (for a whole year)
    • (the only thing that worries me is what if I find i don't get could coverage or speeds - I am trapped for a year or lose the upfront $205.60 payment?)

    Lebara
    • Large 180 day plan (on special for a limited time)
    • 30 GB data (22 GB std + bonus 8 GB per month)
    • unlimited calls, SMS, MMS,
    • unlimited international calls to 18 selected countries
    • $23.20 a month (payable upfront as $139)
    • (The 12 GB plan is normal $26.67 a month so this is a pretty good deal as its cheaper than that and only 70 cents per month more than the 6 GB plan)

    ===============================================

Anyone know any better deals? I want at least 10 GB data

Catch connect, 90 days 54gb for $15. If you go through catchrewards you get $7 back. Making it less than $3 a month.
