So, i've been getting stuck into older games lately. Some don't hold up at all, whereas some others are just as fun as they were in their day and better than any recent releases.

Recently i've gone back to replay Outlaws and Return to castle wolfenstein. I'm surprised just how enjoyable both of these games still are. Outlaws has certainly aged, but the art style and setting make it much easier to swallow and the gameplay is quite good. The music is some of the best in any game before or since. I think the same can be said for RTCW.

I also revist no one lives forever 1 + 2 every now and then, and still play Doom 2 online on occasion.

What old games have you guys dug up and replayed? Perhaps you've never stopped playing a particular old game, either in single player or multiplayer?

My brother and I usually dig up BF1942 for some LAN vs AI action on occasions. Usually ends up being crazy stunts but it's a golden oldie that one!

I replay the Heroes of Might and Magic series regularly.

Civilisation 3 is another one I like to play.

Had a run through of Half Life and for the first time played its expansions. Had a blast (pit).

How do you do it? I can't get Interstate '76 to play nicely with my new comp. It runs no worries but the physics is all screwed up and cars drive down the road like it's a bloody goat track through the mountains. It actually makes it impossible to proceed as you can't pick up enough speed to make jumps.

Played right through Unreal (using a GLIDE wrapper) a short while ago. That is a game that has truly aged gracefully, and was as much of a thrill now as it was when I first played it on my Voodoo3.

    The soundtrack is magical, too.
