Desert Combat for BF1942 was awesome too. But yeah, my favourite maps were Midway, Battle of Britain and El Alamein :D

I wish that would do a HD remake of 1942,
It seriously was the best of them all.

It's taken 30 minutes of fucking around to figure out how to run battlefield 3, what a clusterfuck of a system EA uses.

In short, the following were the only useful things that worked in the end - delete all the CAB files from the DX folder in bf3. Then sign out and in of battlelog in firefox after ticking the box for plugin free game launching.

Well, there was Battlefield 1943... But that was an Xbox 360/PS3 console exclusive for some dumb reason. Shame too cause it pretty much just used the Bad Company Frosbite engine with WWII assets, weapons, vehicles and maps... I would imagine the game would still be alive and kicking if it was released for PC.

Fired up NFS MW yesterday to have a look at how it looks on a 1080 and how it performs on the new rig. Buttery, naturally.

Finished BF3 single player, it was a bit ordinary.

Tried to play Deus Ex IW but deleted it after about 10 minutes.

Played a couple of hours of Wolfenstein old blood and new order but got bored of it and it's now deleted. Got sick of mashing the loot key.

    Holy fuck!

BF3 Singleplayer wasn't too bad imho. Though I have to say I had much more fun with the Bad Company series.

Sad isn't it? 1943 Could have been so good for us...
