I haven't gone back and played old GTAs since I played GTAIV. How do they hold up, especially after the release of GTAV?
Clive Barker's Undying. One of the best game I have ever played in my life. For those who love single player campaigns, I highly recommend it. You can get it from GOG.com these days.
This is a Tweak Guide video for Star Wars: Tie Fighter Collector's CD from 1995. I will be covering the following: - Fullscreen resolution - Window resolution - Output modes - Scaler - Aspect ratio for correct 4:3 image - CPU cycles to avoid turrets not firing issue - Sample rate for better quality Sound Blaster - Configuring a MIDI Synth - Soundfonts - Changing the game to output General MIDI - Joystick tweaks for hat and throttle - DOSBox key mapper - Using the GOG files to create an installation CD - Installing and playing the game with the created installation CD Link for VirtualMIDISynth: http://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth Link to Soundfonts: http://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth#soundfonts
Fired up Missile Command on a woody 3 switch Atari 2600 - amazingly just as stressful as I remember it!
You know that there's CorsixTH - Open source Theme Hospital for download, right? They've done an awesome job of it too.
Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2, still isn't anything similar unless I've missed something. Planescape: Torment, not so much replayed as finally finished, every copy I've had was broken at the same point in the questline due to corrupted data and I never got around to finding a non-corrupted version until a few weeks ago
Don't know if you'd consider it 'old' but I've been replaying Fallout (first). This morning it's been driving me nuts! I haven't played it in so long, and I've been trying to find the leader of Sandy Shades for about 20 minutes
omgomgomg - those 3 words havent crossed my mind in 20 years. and even better, theres a remake! http://www.openomf.org/
I remember not liking the game much even when it was new. Looking at the videos... it must be the nostalgia that makes you like the game now?
Master of Orion 2 (circa 94?) is my go to. I've got it installed on the work laptop - play it on planes occasionally. You'll be amazed who jumps in with tips\questions while sitting next to me! Sounds like there's a remake in the works as well with most of the original team.
As this has been necroed, can somebody tell me what an xgame is? There's one at the op shop and I've no clue what it's for. I thought the original xbox games have xbox on them?
Re-Volt Impossible to finish this. Has anyone managed to clock this frustrating as hell gem? Also currently doing speed runs for Double Dragon II: The Revenge for the tube. 1982!
The last round of levels of revolt come down to luck. Keep at it. Now Powerslide is a keyboard busting game. Fuck that game.
Ahhhh Powerslide that takes me back, made right here in South Australia too. Been playing a bit of Mechwarrior 4 recently since hearing of Mech 5:Mercs but since the initial tease not much else has been said about it
In addition to Stunts, I fired up an old install of Teslagrad I got from one of the early IndieBoxes. I remember it being quite a fun platformer, but never ended up finishing it. It's a bit clunky getting back into it cold when my save game is a fair way in, but it should be beatable
Assassins' Creed (first game). Still haven't finished it after 35 hours or so, been about five years so far.
