Currently playing through The Adventure of Link (NES).
    I also discovered I love F-Zero X

I recently beat Double Dragon 3 (NES) -- which has been kicking my butt since I was 13, The Legend of Zelda (NES) and Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES).

I bought the latter on eBay for ~$15 which I thought was a bargain.
Later I discovered it was the French language version :o
Undeterred I decided to play it anyway. It took me ~3 weeks of pestering my wife (who speaks French) and looking up stuff on Google Translate but I finally beat it! :D

Bonus: Je peux maintenant lire un peu le Fran├žais!

    Ive been playing:

International Supercars,(DosBox) following Supercars 1 and 2 on the Amiga 500, (via AmigaForever)

also Raptor:Call of the Shadows has a permanent home on my pc. Funnily enough I don't need to use dos box to run it, just click and go under windows 7.

SNES games I plan to play this weekend are: Secret of Evermore and maybe Super Mario World.

Ive been doing a run through Doom 2 recently :)

Funny thing is - it's STILL a good game after all these years.

Last weekened my mate and I completed all 100 levels of Bubble Bobble in co-op on the C64. Prior to that we've regularly played Wizard of Wor and completed all 8 levels of Wizball in co-op.

    Awesome!

That would have been a good opportunity to record a video and put it on YouTube :D

A mate of mine who I grew up with playing Atari and Commodore with has come back from nearly a decade working overseas, so we've been hammering away at some classics.

We've been playing a LOT of Combat for the VCS, Co-op Chaos Engine on the Amiga and Sensible Soccer.

I've also been giving Scramble on the Vectrex a workout.

Since my graphics card died last month, forcing me to use onboard graphics :( I have been playing random SNES games, such as Mario RPG, Super Metroid and Ghouls and Ghosts.

    Mario Kart
    Donky Kong Country 3
    Super Mario World

    On N64
    F-Zero X
    Goldeneye 007
    Turok
    Mario Kart

    Sega MG II
    Micro Machines I & II
    NBA Jam
    General Chaos

    Nintendo DS
    Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

....And a lot more to choose from when I get the time and finish these

If its one thing I've noticed I want to do recently, is go back and finish old games I never could (if they are too hard / time consuming then I will cheat and look up on youtube the ending :Pirate:). I also want to go back and play and finish all the games I never had and wanted. Most of them I try to get the legit forms for the consoles, otherwise emulated is the last option.

Metroid turned 25 last weekend. I've been playing Metroid Fusion on GBA for a while now. Once I've knocked that over, I'm going to have a bash at Metroid on NES.

I did a HUGE Super Metroid session last year (see this thread), and clocked it (I can't remember ever doing so before, just because I ran out of time or got sucked into other games). It felt nice to sit down and play something start to finish again.

Yeah, we have recorded Wizard of Wor sessions previously but didn't think to do it with Bubble Bobble. It doesn't take long to complete actually, maybe 45 minutes? Depends how many umbrellas you get that skip levels.

Interestingly I didn't know that you don't get an ending for Bubble Bobble unless you do it co-op, if you do it single player then apparently you get warped back to a random previous level. I've never finished it single player personally!
