I had Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Could never get past the blimp.

edit: it had an internal structure/scaffolding so i guess it was technically an air ship...

I remember it being so compelling as a kid to "play the movie"

bester that's a great setup man!!

Household management (/wife) has granted me to do something similar once our extension is built (and bring in one of the arcade cabs). I'm just tossing up if I go down the path you guys have of decent upscaling hardware or bring the Trinitron CRT TV back in.

Might also hit you up when I get closer to the project as I need to hook up ~12 consoles and was just going to use a 16-input A/V switch but auto switching would be amazing.

Also the best thing about procrastination is that sometimes problems solbe themselves. Famicom carts fit great in audio tape storage boxes, and I have the official N64 cart storage tower, but SNES carts and Mega Drive carts don't fit anywhere.

Now with 3D printing and laser cutting I can have pull-out drawers for all the cartridges mwahahaha.

Also spent last night playing Donkey Kong Country on Mini SNES. Amazing game. The graphics, parallax backgrounds, "realistic" detail like in the jungle/mine levels (and the cave levels) is amazing, really ahead of its time, and the soundtrack is great too. They just don't make 'em like that anymore :(

    RAEOTM:

I talked about PS2 memory cards before. Here's some more.

    PlayStation 1 memory cards:

    GameCube (and Wii) memory cards:

Note that a hell of a lot of those GC cards allow you to plug in a SD card. So if you have either a modded GC (pro tip: GC ModChips are cheap and easy to install) or access to an Action Replay disc, you can run very awesome tools like Swiss (which in turn allows access to tools like GameBoy Interface if you have the GameBoy Player hardware, or work as a semi-ODE). There are also a number of SD Card Adaptors that plug in via the serial port under the GameCube (same speed as the memory card interface) that allow the same sorts of things.

There's no better time than the end of the world to set your gaming room back up, I say :Paranoid:

I tried out my CPC464 and it appears the GT65 monitor is toast, it has full vertical collapse, last time I ran it a few years ago it was fine. These are really old hardware but I'm not game enough to mess with high voltage crt.

Edit: dead CPC monitor aside, here's some progress:

Revisiting a mod I started back in 2011 but never finished LOL
Wanted to mod my Qanba Q3 stick to work on multiple consoles with the Toodles MC Cthulhu

My original Qanba Q3 with Sanwa buttons and JLF stick.

Inside the stick... not the cleanest wiring.

Bolex, thats friickken amazing mate

qwerty, that looks awesome mate, love the shelving against the wall man, perfect. And its a very nice amount of space that you can utilize, looks a bit bigger than my space that I've been assigned. You've got a lot more stuff than i do though, so no doubt things will still be fighting for that pole position space. very cool. can't wait to see how it ends up. I've been cleaning my parts (car) room downstairs and culling a lotta stuff. My games room is next on the menu during this quiet period. Excellent work man! keep us posted, you might give me a few ideas.

    "your an idea's man!"
