I bought a 10-pack of MadCatz DC controllers about... 11? ish years ago that looked just like that.

Cost me like $30 at the time. So happy I bought so much of my gear before the retro boom price hikes.

Pro tip, kids: buy up Wii/XBox360/PS3 gear now while it's cheap!

Played some arcade today, r-type Leo is good fun, and I continued to setup some things, essentially got 3 gaming areas to enjoy while the world turns to shit.

Gave the big cade a good degaussing too.

    Games room (all the things)

I have one of those as well, but only one. Christ just checked prices for DC controller and VMUs. I am glad I have 8+ controller and VMUs (I have 5 NIB that I bought off the forum a few years ago, transparent green). Only one rumble pack, but I hate them.

I have slowed down collecting, especially games. I did get some PS1 and 2 stuff off the forums recently. Flat renos/work have stopped me getting that shit sorted.

qwerty - any reason you need to show your duplicates? I try and keep any duplicates in a box in a dark room. Nice to see the collection grow from that big haul 12 years ago.

Just for the ridiculous factor I suppose.
Why hide any of it away? :leet:

I only allow uv in sparingly, usually I keep the whole room lit artificially, so fade isn't an issue for anything on a shelf

Lol. I used to keep some duplicate consoles at my parents and friends in storage after seeing what happened in Brisvegas floods. Never liked keeping all my eggs in the one room. :p

Spent a big chunk of the day cleaning the games rooms. They're a total pigsty still, so no photos yet, but so keen to get them done.

    Nah it's a PC Engine Duo R

Saving my pennies for a NeoSD Pro at the moment, just hoping the Aussie dollar improves a bit.

I am actually edging closer to my "Ten Player" Saturn Bomberman pipedream. I now have:

4 x Sega Saturn standard controllers (HSS-0101) - White (I picked up another two for $6 US each from eBay/Japan)
4 x Retro-Bit Official Sega Saturn Controller Pad - Slate Grey

The Retro-Bit controllers are surprisingly OK.

Only 2 more controllers to go! I will get these post COVID when I can actually assemble ten people to play.

Super Mario Odyssey 64 - a mod that turns Mario 64 into Mario Odyssey. Incredible.

There are pretty well founded rumours flying around that Nintendo are releasing a "Mario Collection" on Switch.

I'm hoping that includes a similar idea to Mario Allstars back in the SNES days, that offered identical gameplay but with updated graphics.

Like you said, an Odyssey-engine powered version of 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 and 2 would be awesome.
