Just from the top of my head.

    - Guanghua Digital Plaza Computer Market
    - Shilin Night Market
    - Taipei 101 (and Din Tai Fung if you do go)
    - Modern Toilet Restaurant Ximending
    - Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
    - National Palace Museum

A turd themed restaurant will be great for when you’re feeling homesick.

    - Taiwanese Beef Noodle in Yong Kang Street. (bar none the best beef noodle)
    - Moxi moxi - Bubble Milk Latte (can be found in Yong Kang Street
    - Mango Shaved Ice
    - Cong Youbing (Taiwanese Scallion Pancake) with egg, cheese, and ham

    - Syntrend (IT Mall, each floor is a different theme, there's a floor full of VR stuff you can do, lots of games (I was there earlier this month, there was 18 games to play) (the mall next door is a giant parts mall, nothing you cannot find)

    - Try stinky tofu (it stinks really really badly, but it's actually not too bad)

If you have time, take train to Jiufen and go to Old Street, it's where the guy got the inspiration for the movie Spirited Away.

Go to any Din Tai Fung that isn't at Taipei 101. And eat the Xiao Long Bao properly (put it on your spoon and pinch the side to break it and let the soup run into the spoon, don't follow the retarded way of biting the top and sucking the soup out, that's for an entirely different Xiao Long Bao from China which is much larger)

hell my main reason for going to Taipei is comptex to laugh at some new amfail gear first hand ( and maybe get a free T-shirt)

Hmmm different kinda Malls. I would say pantip is more like the mall next to syntrend. Syntrend is like a mall you can go to every weekend because there’s a new event on. I go every time I visit Taiwan. (Wife is Taiwanese) will be there for Chinese New Year.

There’s also a Korean BBQ at the top which is all you can eat for like $20 Aus. And it’s really really good.

I just asked my wife she said: "I've heard of this name, but in TW it's called 珍珠奶茶" (pearl milk tea)

(I never heard of the name boba until this thread, in Taiwan my wife and her family always call it bubble milk tea when speaking English with me)

    hey mate some suggestions:

    * find some intel employees and tell them how to run their business
    * strike up a conversation with the locals about the best performance in the consumer space, and outer space
    * stand on a street corner and beg for people to buy intel
    * assault asian dudes in AMD merc
    * lobotomy
