So the subwoofer and control pod on my Z5500s recently carked it.

The 5 speakers I have are still mounted and I have speaker wire running around the home theater room.

What's the cheapest option for me to replace the subwoofer with a new one and have it all connected up to my computer?

I liked the Z5500 setup as I didn't need a receiver but replacing it seems to be an expensive option.

this is going back around 10+ years now but I bottomed out the voice coil and broke my z5500 sub and just took it to a local repair place and had it fixed.

a few years after that i forked out for an amp and tower stereo speakers and it sounds worlds better than the old logitech's.

another option would be hunt around for a cheap set someone else is selling and buy it for the sub. can't be worth much these days.

Find a replacement sub, they're around. I've got one here in SE QLD in decent condition I could maybe be convinced to part with...

Are they really that important to you? Perhaps use this opportunity to do an upgrade.

it could just be the fuse, check that first.

yeah... with my z2300 it was just a fuse replacement

easy to do and cheap fix until you save up for something better (if that is what you want)

As a few others have noted, check the fuse. Ive had to replace 2 of them over the years in my set.
