Tonight I *really* feel like a Yumbo.

I looked on the Hungry Jacks page.. they don't seem to sell them anymore..

When did they stop making them and where can I get a Yumbo substitute in Adelaide, like, right now?

    about 1985.

seriously, where have you been hiding?

EDIT: for those not old enough to remember, it's just a ham and cheese roll that is served hot.
servo's sell them don't they? hero rolls or something.
you just wack it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

I'm old enough to remember but I don't remember them at all. They sound quite tasty.

I think the last time I had a Yumbo was in 1988. I had something very similar when I was in the states 2 years ago, It was a grilled Ham and cheese sandwich and it was pretty much the same, It was fantastic btw.

We had them at school, but they were called yambas.

Reminds me of the hot ham and cheese roll they used to sell at my primary school canteen back in the day. We called it a Sizzler back then. Crusty long roll btw, not one of those soft round burger buns.

I might go and have one, just for the disappointing benchmark, so I can make a much better one at home. Mind you, decent ham isn't cheap. For $3.00, it might be worth it.

Yumbo day. I might grab one just because it's a cheap lunch. Either that or a $4 Big Mac :leet:

It's a bun with ham and cheese in it that existed in the 70's/80's which got discontinued early 90's.
